There are so many redolent reasons to wander into Aveda, like the teas…
Oh, my gosh! — every time I walk in there and someone’s like, “Would you care for some tea?” I’m like Billy the Kid with how fast my had whips out for that cup. YUM!
But . If you like lavender, peppermint and basically anything that smells herbal and earthly, I think you’ll love it. I know I do.
It’s a line of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body oil, and they also have a body mist now, all in the same scent, which is a potion of 25 pure plant and flower essences to soothe your senses.
The strongest notes to me are lavender, peppermint and ylang-ylang, which is a white, tropical flower from the Philippines (woo!), and they smell so cozy, calming and wintry together.
This is a great time of year for it. I love it.
The and ($14 each for decent-sized 8.5-oz. bottles) are my favorite things in the line. I use them once every other week as a clarifying set for my roots and my strands because they completely — like, I’m not kidding — get my hair squeaky clean.

If I feel my hair starting to get weighed down from deep conditioners and heavy products, I shampoo and condition with Shampure and my scalp and hair feel completely clean and refreshed afterward, and I have volume for days. It won’t weigh your hair down.
I can’t use them all the time because they can be a bit drying, depending on how much moisture your hair craves (mine craves a lot), but if you’re looking for the occasional deep cleanse, this combo gently removes all levels of buildup.
I think it would also work well if you have fine hair.
I also use and love the , which is $30 for a 1.7-oz. bottle. You can use it on your scalp, your hair, in the bath and directly on your skin.
It’s great as a body oil on damp skin, and it’s hydrating enough to handle dry winter legs (it’s a lot like Clarins Tonic Oil that way).
Sometimes after the oil I been spray my skin with ($30 for 3.4-oz.), which is limited edition and sold out online, but you might still be able to find it in stores. It’s a light body mist in the Shampure scent with a light dose of moisture.
